FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What’s included in the price?
Along with my time, care and dedication to providing you with beautiful photos you can cherish for a life time.
I include:
- A consultation in the week prior so I can find out more about you/your family to discuss styling, location and create your bespoke session.
- My experience, photographic style and holistic approach.
- My travel, postage and packaging.
- Editing your images.
- A personalised usb keepsake.
- A 60-120 minute relaxed & fun photo shoot.
- A private online gallery of the best images from your session for you to enjoy & make your selection.
How much editing is required?
I only lightly edit and enhance your images so they retain their integrity and character, the true nature of the photo is what makes it unique.
Are you insured?
Yes, I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Can you help with styling?
Yes, I enjoy that bit! We will discuss all this at your pre shoot consultation.
What about hair/make-up?
If you are confident styling your hair and applying your own make up then please go ahead, we can chat about outfits and colours during our initial consultation. However, if you are unsure do book in for professional hair and make-up. Please avoid heavy, dark make-up and stay away from contouring. Go for soft make-up with a good face base and tousled, blow-dried, natural hair. Overly styled hair and make-up will age your photo and it will look less contemporary. We want to gently emphasis your features not hide them.
What shall I bring?
During our initial consultation we will gather some ideas for you. Hairbrush and additional makeup are always good to have at the ready.
I sometimes suggest that you bring a clothing back up option with you, during our initial consultation we will cover this. I am also a fan of taking a picture on your phone at home with some ideas and texting me prior, I’m on hand and you can get in touch as often as you wish!
What if the weather is bad?
Cloudy is fine and will still work very well. However, if its chucking it down with rain, soggy clothes and running mascara may not be the look you’re hoping for. Rain can damage the camera so I prefer not to photograph in this weather, I am happy to reschedule.
What if my session takes longer?
I don’t clock watch, and the time stated is just a guide. I’m patient and I want you to be relaxed and having fun, if we run over a bit then that’s fine, great images are worth it!
Do you charge for travel?
My price includes travel within 10 miles, I can travel further at 50p per mile.
What if I want more photos?
Each single will be £20 or £35 should you want it printed up to size A3, we can discuss larger sizes should you wish. Your image will be printed museum quality fine art paper.
Do you offer a framing or album service?
I don’t, but I can print your photos to your required size and offer advice.
Can I bring a friend?
I would have to say it’s best not to, it can be distracting to both of us. After all, this is your special moment. I do offer friend photo shoots “Just the two of us” so that could be an option for you.
Do you share my details?
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to me, I will never share your confidential details with any other party. I work on my own and don’t use assistance so there is no need for transfer of information. If I have recommended a service, I will leave it to you to make necessary bookings.
How do I pay for my shoot?
You pay for your session in cash on the day of the shoot, or preferably via bank transfer 3 days before the shoot. Unfortunately, I can’t accept credit cards or cheques as payment and I don’t operate a refund policy. A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be taken at the time of booking to secure your session.
In the rare case that I need to cancel, we will agree a mutually convenient time to reschedule, alternatively I can offer a full refund should you wish.
